Beddington Village Hall is situated in Beddington Lane and was erected in memory of Madalina Trollope by her husband and family and dedicated by The Right Reverend, the Lord Bishop of Rochester on November 23rd 1901. There is a plaque inside the hall to commemorate this.
Carew Manor is situated in Beddington Park and is now used as a school. The manor was once the country seat of the Carews, one of Britain’s most prominent families in Tudor times.
The roof of the great hall dates from around 1500 and is grade 1 listed, the only grade 1 listed building in the Borough of Sutton .
Carew Manor, once a medieval moated house, was home to the Royal Female Orphanage from 1762 until 1968.
East Lodge is situated at the end of Church Road near Carew Manor School, Beddington. It was built in 1877 by Canon Bridges, the wealthy rector of Beddington for his gate-keeper.

St Mary's Church at Beddington, is mentioned in the Doomsday book (1086) The church was very closely connected with the fortunes of the Carew family, who arrived in Beddington in the 1350’s.
The bells were installed in 1869 and 1877.

It is likely that a hostelry has stood on this site at least since mediaeval times, although The Plough Inn first appears on Land Tax records from 1780, the current building was built in 1898.
The River Wandle has two sources, in Waddon and Carshalton, and flows to join the River Thames at Wandsworth.
