Built in 2003 on the former Caterham Guards Barracks, sports track
Opened in 1820 as a fully licensed public house.
This photo shows the rear of the originally barrack blocks built to house 500 men in 1877. There were originally four two-storey blocks, in 1900 two more blocks were built, and an extra floor added to the existing blocks. Between the two rows, gardens were set out for the guardsman to relax.
The Village Club opened in 1902 for men who did not want to go to public houses.
In 1921 it became the Royal British Legion, now it is Caterham Ex-Serviceman’s Club. The annual Remembrance Day Parade starts and finishes here.
The school was founded in 1811, in Lewisham, by the Rev. John Townsend as a boarding school for the sons of Congregational ministers. It moved to Caterham in 1884

The Rectory is now used by local builders W & R Buxton Ltd as offices, in 1909 this tree stood inside the Rectory garden.

This house. is believed to be an original outbuilding of the former Caterham Manor, probably dating from the early 19th century.
This was the original carriage drive to Caterham Court.
Father Roe came to Caterham in 1879 to take mass for the many cathololic soldiers, stationed in Caterham Barracks. His family donated £5000 to build the church which was opened in 1881.
Bishop Danell laid the foundation stone of the present church on 24th June 1880

The Clifton Arms, established in 1869 closed May 1909 currently applying for planning permission for a Nursing Home.
The museum began in 1980 and opened to the public in 1981. It was started by the archaeological section of the Bourne Society.
It is situated on the ground floor of a flint and brick house, built about the turn of the 19th century. with the museum downstairs and an entirely separate flat upstairs.
This building in Harestone Valley Road, now an accountants, was once a gatehouse to Caterham Court, which was situated on the top of the hill.Church Hill was the original driveway to Caterham Court, where as Waller Lane, was the main road from the Hill to the Valley.
Professional and businessmen from London had grand houses built in Harestone Valley Road, just one of the roads to become part of the Caterham Park Estate. The Hare Stone can be found in the grounds of Caterham School.
Sheltered housing opened in 1998 on part of the former site of
Caterham Board School.
A parish school was opened on this site in 1804, called 'a School for the Improvement of Children,' and its buildings were enlarged in 1852 and 1858. It was superseded by the Caterham Board School of 1872 and enlarged in 1893 and 1909

The clock in Queens Park came from inside Caterham Barracks it was situated between the barrack blocks so all the guardsman could see it.

This restaurant was situated in Guards Avenue, and was destroyed by fire on 8th March 2006
St Mary's Church was opened in 1866, on land opposite what was then, the Parish Church, St Lawrence's. The tower was added in 1883 and has now become a local landmark.
St. Mary's was consecrated on 7th May 1866 by the then Bishop of Winchester. W & C H Basset Smith designed it, in the "Decorative" style
The Church is surrounded by a closed churchyard on three sides, and was originally Glebe land. In the mid-19th Century, it was given to the then Parish Church of St. Lawrence for a burial ground
The Guards Chapel was erected in 1885-86, from private funds by the Brigade of Guards. The War Office providing the site and contributing £3,000 towards the cost. It is built in 13th-century style, with an aisle for Roman Catholic soldiers.
This is the new home for Skaterham which was created in 1999 with 28 members, it now has 10,000 members. The U.K.'s only Skatepark in a chapel.
The Church of St. John the Evangelist is the parish church of Caterham Valley. The foundation stone was laid on 13th September 1881. It was dedicated on St. John's Day, 27th December 1882. The tower was added in 1892.
Running parallel to the railway line, it was once a private road between Church Hill and Burntwood Lane with gates at either end.
Charles Asprey donated the Drinking Fountain to Caterham in 1890. It originally stood on what is now the roundabout in Station Avenue, it was moved to White Knobs Sports Ground in 1933, returning to Church Walk in 1997
