This lych gate seen in this photograph sits in the churchyard of St Katherine's Church, Merstham. It is constructed from the remains of Merstham post mill, which used to stand in nearby Rockshaw Road, but had to be moved when the 'Quarry' railway line was built in 1900
There has been a hotel on this site since 1700, the old stable block still stands at the back
