This huge pair of wrought iron gates on Hillbury Road are a memorial to Sir William Jones, but are never opened.
The roundabout is placed on what was once known as The Square. It is at the junction of Godstone Road, Hillbury Road and Whyteleafe Hill.
The church was built in 1864 at the foot of Whyteleafe Hill. It is one of 9 parishes of Caterham Deanery, which is part of the Diocese of Southwark.
